What can a one-year-old do?

Parents sometimes ask what a child "should be able to do" by a certain age. Notice how the one-year-old girl in this video does the following:

  • labels objects
  • uses multiple words
  • imitates others
  • shows good eye contact
  • points to show awareness

Also note what her father does:

  • follows her lead
  • encourages her
  • imitates her

Try this next time you're at the table with your little one!
